Poem by Emily Dickenson
I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you - Nobody - Too?
Then there's a pair of us!
Don't tell! They'd advertise - you know!
How dreary - to be - Somebody!
How public - like a Frog -
To tell one's name - the livelong June -
To an admiring Bog!
(Emily Dickinson used a lot of exclamation marks ! and dashes - in her writing. I'll go along with that! I think you need them when you're writing - short.)
So would I add the parentheses ( ) To say a little more - like pointing out a limb on a mighty Oak. (A metaphor.)
(Emily - I'm too stubborn to be - anyone but a folk artist!)
